President Isaias holds talks with the Italian Minister of International Cooperation and Integration
Asmara, 26 June 2012 – President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks at the State House with Mr. Andrea Riccardi, the Italian Minister of International Cooperation and Integration. The two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and work for the development of investment and trade in line with the historic ties between the two countries. Moreover, both parties conducted exchange of views and affirmed that they would exert joint effort towards ensuring stability in the Horn region and foster peace and development. Following the meeting, Mr. Andrea told Erina that there exist economic and political ties between Eritrea and Italy, and that such ties could ensure development for mutual benefit. (Shabait)
