Aron Debretsion wins 2nd place final day Loop cycling Tour of Algeria 2012

ALGIERS – The Greek Ioannis Tamouridis team (Tableware Cycling Team) won Friday at the Palace of Culture Moufdi Zakaria (Algiers) loop Algiers International Cycling to the Eritrean and Moroccan Aron Debretsion Ayoune Smail.

Greek has clocked 2h45.38, the Eritrean front (2h45.38) and Moroccan (2h45.51), after a race, which saw the participation of 90 riders on a course total of 105 kilometers in ten laps completed (10.5 km each).

The final circuit used by runners, is perhaps the best vantage point, since cyclists have spent the past ten turns to the applause of hundreds of spectators gathered to cheer the runners, including the Algerian Laâgab Azzedine, winner of the previous edition.

Yet they were likely to think that the Algerian Petroleum GS, could play a spoilsport in this second edition, the height of his great performance at the last stage of the Tour of Algeria which he was the winner.

The route chosen for this international loop, was marked by a headwind, which has indeed helped the runners, and a layout characterized by ups and decent, pushing riders to abandon the one after another (32 in total abandonment).

From the start of the race, the Algerian runner Tamarent Khelil, GS Petroleum, led the first two rounds of this loop, but without reaching it Grow, since it will be caught up in the third round by a group led by Greek Topchanyuk Artem.

The leading group has spent the 4 th and 5 th rounds together before giving way to a breakaway led by the three riders in the form of this loop, namely the Greek Tamouridis, the Eritrean and Moroccan Debrestion Ayoune Smail. These three riders managed to contest the final sprint of this loop Algiers International, the first Algerian was ranked 13th, Hichem Chaabane namely, the Bicycle Club Sovac, who scored many points in the UCI Africa Tour- before taking part in the Tour of Morocco.

'' The arrival in Algiers is always a great feeling, because the atmosphere is fantastic. In the closing laps of the loop, I really wanted to attack, as it happened in stages in the Tour of Algeria, or I got the 6th place,'' said the Greek Ioannis Tamouridis.

'' I really wants to participate in the London Olympics, since I managed to win many points. I am among the riders who will take part in the Tour of Spain (Vuelta) this year,'' he said.
