June 14, 2010

Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) and Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) continue to carry out military actions, inflicting significant losses on the woyane regime.

OLF

In the eastern region of Oromo, OLF put 18 woyane soldiers out of action; on June 2 in the Hararghe region, 12 woyane troops were killed and 6 wounded. OLF has made it clear that their organization will continue taking necessary actions until the woyane regime is no longer in power.

Oromo citizens continue to suffer under the ruling party, innocent civilians thrown to jail without evidence of crime. The woyane high court has recently sentenced 24 citizens of Oromo origin from 15 years to life in prison based on false allegations of supporting OLF.

ONLF

According to ONLF’s military newspaper, successive attacks against woyane’s soldiers have been carried out within the last two weeks. ONLF killed 143 woyane troops, wounded 18 and destroyed several vehicles.

Last month, on May 15 and 18, in Korehe zone, ONLF killed 96 woyane soldiers and burned their vehicles. On May 23 and 25, within Shebelle and other regions, 32 were killed and 4 wounded. More attacks were carried out on May 27 and 28.

In retaliation, ONLF has said that woyane massacred 1500 innocent women and children in Malqaqa city. Though the regime tried to cover up the truth, several witnesses have reported the horrific nature of the crime, which included shooting and hanging.
