Eritrean Communities In Abu-Dhabi And Riyadh Reiterate Readiness To Back Up National Resistance Drive

Asmara, 28 February 2010 – Eritrean communities in Riyadh and Abu-Dhabi reiterated their readiness to back up national resistance drive in the seminars and mekete festivals they conducted.

In the festival in Abu-Dhabi, conducted under the theme "We will render futile the injustice and unfairness of Resolution 1907 with our unity and contribution", in which thousands of Eritreans and friends of the Eritrean people participated, the nationals asserted their readiness to strengthen national capacity and make due contribution in challenging and overcoming the US sanctions resolution.

During the occasion, the Charge D'affaires of the Eritrean Embassy in Abu-Dhabi, Mr. Al-Amin Nafi'e pointed out that the US sanctions resolution against Eritrea is not a new phenomena and that the Eritrean Government is making utmost efforts to effectively realize envisaged development programs.

Eritreans residing in Abu-Dhabi finally expressed their readiness to enhance their contribution and stand alongside their Government and Defense Forces.

Similarly, Eritreans residing in Riyadh and its environs pledged to contribute 1% of their income for two years so as to back up the national resistance drive.

Eritrean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Mohammed Omar gave extensive briefings regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and called on the nationals to strengthen their organization so as to reinforce the national resolute rebuff.
