President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Saturday a letter from Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki concerning bilateral relations between the two countries.
The letter was handed over by the Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Mohammed during his meeting with president Saleh.
The letter also dealt with the recent developments in the African horn especially in Somalia.
In his letter, the Eritrean president confirmed support of Eritrea for security and unity of Yemen.
The letter affirmed importance of the coordination and cooperation between Yemen and Eritrea.
President Saleh pointed out to concern of Yemen to enhance its ties with Eritrea, renewing support of Yemen for all efforts to achieve peace and stability in Somalia.
He asked the Eritrean official to convey his regards to the Eritrean president and wishes of good health and happiness and further progress and prosperity for the Eritrean people.
