Maybe it’s me but I think the EriTv version Candid camera show was very tasteless! What is the point of going after national icons artists and making fun of their cheershed natinoal contributions in the form of all that stupid questions? I really give credit to Fihura and Dihab Fatinga for putting up with all that uncalled for…….!!
Not cool. I know this is a joke but they should have done this to those who sing the songs which previously sung by Neway Debebe and Tilahoun Gese by just changing the Amharic words into their own tigrigna. For example like the guy who stole Neway Debebes song by changing the “Yetikimt Abeba” to ” Ati”

What a class act! On top of being a highly accomplished and well-liked artist, Dehab Fatiynga has to be a very cool-headed and classy lady. No one relishes being ridiculed and humiliated in a private setting, let alone in full view of TV viewers. And it is especially unfair to subject someone like Dehab Fatiynga, who has earned respect and popularity among Eritreans, both as a talented artist and a former freedom fighter, to this kind of meaningless taunting. It is agreed that the intended purpose of the whole exercise is ‘entertainment’. However, entertainment at what cost, and at whose expense? What about the unnecessary confusion, self-doubt and mental anguish the undeserving subject is put through — even if for a short time? Dehab Fatiynga is truly remarkable in that she was a perfect model of coolness under ‘withering fire’. A lesser, ‘famous person’ would have blown his/her stack in the first 5 minutes of the ‘interview’. But this sister was calm, collected, and HUMBLE right to the end. And when the tasteless taunting became absolutely intolerable she simply stood up and started to leave — no protests or outbursts! I personally think this is a bad idea for ‘entertainment’. We should not forget that famous people are also human beings and some of them may react to a situation that openly attempts to belittle or mock their personal or professional worth, in a way that may not always be ‘politically correct’. And when that happens, people will forget that famous people are also human-beings, with the same feelings as themselves, and they will jump to judge them. Wouldn’t it be better to plan this ‘entertainment’ idea around the theme of playing wholesome and harmless little pranks on ordinary Eritrean men and women on the street? I am sure both the subjects and the viewers would find that kind of entertainment a lot of fun!

To my own opinion, the host didn’t do a good job, but I think it show a very good gesture of Dehab Fatiynaga, how strong woman she is and she handle her self well under attack pressure….good for you girl & keep up the good work.

This is the most absurd thing I have ever seen. It is taste less and uncalled for to try to humulate icons like Dahab and Fihira. Eri-TV needs to kill this kind of programming before it is to late and irreversible harm is done to the individuals involved in these useless so called ‘entertainment’ and the Eri-TV programming.

Great programme ERI-TV. I Loved it. When I first saw it I thought the questions were for real and I was appalled.

Very annoying! What a bunch of jerks!
This type of joke is what amhara(ethiopians) call “ye GALA QELD”. when a Gala ( a derogatory name for Oromo) jokes, he might strike your head with his stick. The EriTV guy has caused Dehab faytinga an emotional distress through his prolonged gala-style joke. If the program was meant to be candid camera, it should not take more than 30 seconds, and it should be conducted by a responsible person who understands the emotional impacts of both the actors and the viewers.

Fatinga and Fihira wer very hillarious. But this happen everywhere with every artist in the world. But for me the questions seems a bit weird it has to change to something else , coz it seems personal and it is ovious they get offended. At the end i would love to say the Programme is ok just the questions isnt that funny.
