Miss East Africa 2008, Burundian Claudia Niyonzima received a brand new car from the event organizers, Rena Events Limited. The Burundi Ambassador to Tanzania, Amuri Leanare, presented the prizes to event winners during a brief handing over ceremony held in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

The contest, which was held in Burundi on December 19, 2008, involved 28 beauties from Tanzania, the host Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Re Union, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius and Comoros.
