Amara and Tigre, of today’s Ethiopia and Eritrea, were the founders of ancient Gebts over 5100 years ago for the primary purpose of selling goods and produce. This sounds like an unscietific propaganda bit not supported by facts, yes there is connection between the ancient Egyptians and the people to their south but that has not been studied in a scientific way, what is very clear is that before Tigre, Tigrigna and Amharic evolved the ancestral language of all three languages was Geez, now how can a person in his right mind say Tigrigna and Amharic were languages that were spoken 5000 years ago? Lets not but such nonesense that is rooted in the mythycal rather than the realistic. No Eritrean in his/her right mind should fall for such nonesense.

I am a student of history and see resemblance in the evolution of alphabets, the ancient Egyptian alphabets have a rudimentary resemblance to Geez alphabets, that only shows the creators of Geez alphabets had a good knowledge of ancient Egyptian alphabets, that attests to the time line between the decline of ancient Egyptian civilization due to conquests from Persia and Europe and the emergence of Geez south of Egypt, there is a big disconnect in that time line that has yet to be studied in a scientific way, we should embark on starting those studies with our brothers in modern Egypt and Sudan along with Eritrea and Ethiopia to discover the connection between ancient Egyptians and the people who lived immediately to the south.

    Simply a wishful thinking video!!!!

first of all stop confusing the Tigre people with tigrigna. secondly, both tigrigna and amharic are geez derived languages. Some even argue that the Tigre language came before the two (amharic and tigrigna). so how on earth would amharic and tigrigna be the 1st written language of commerce when they themselves are derived from another ancient language??? i bet these kind of mythical and fairy tale videos only come from the south of the Eritrean border!

Anywho, there could have been some relationship btwn the egyptians and axumite kingdom that needs to be carefully studied and examined, but lets not make up data and dwell in such issues. By the way the amharic and tigrigna culture have their similarities and differences, but that doesn’t suggest anything besides a neighbourhood. All cultures who live beside one another have a great tendency to share and overlap cultural values. eating the same food???? lol, couldn’t get any funnier!!!

That was bulshit, before Tigrigna and Amharic languge came, there was a Gezz languge. The Eritrean languge like Tigrigna,Tigre….etc are a semetic languges. Semetic languge is very big and the bigest one is Arabic. Hebrow languge is allså a semetic one. so 5000 yers is so long time, Tigrigna is older than Amharigna and The Eritrean tigrigna is not more than 2000 yers.
There is big different betwen the Eritrean tigrigna and the Ethio/tigray tigrigna, the accent, and a lot of words don’t like each other.Specialy after the independent of Eritrea!!!

This vidio is typical a propoganda of Ethio/amhara. To day you have Dijiboti as a port to selling goods and produce, may be you become unit with your Dijibouti and somali, good luck. This kind of propoganda and preeching not for Eritreans.

This is a false video bro.

The only Semitic language to completly decend from Ge’ez is Tigrinya. Amharic and other Ethio “semitic” languages are really a cluster of Cushtic languages sprinkled in with small amounts of Semitic words that derived from Ge’ez.

Tigre on the other hand is the oldest Semitic language in Sub-Sahara Africa. It predates Ge’ez, Tigrinya, Sabaic (language of Sabaens that came from yemen) and even Arabic. Tigre has long been believed to have decended from Ge’ez, but this is very false, it is now being speculated that Ge’ez may have derived from both Tigre and Sabaic languages.

Even though Tigre is a really old language, brought to Eritrea by the ancient Semites, it is still no way near 5,000 years old as this crazy and very false Ethiopian video sugests.

well, ancient egyptians were great, but also ancient axumites, both evolved in different parts of africa in diffrent time. there may be relationship but what matters is they both along with other civilization in the continent are AFRICAS PRIDE!!!!!and they show africa was no behind from the rest of the world,,, as it unfortunately is today. SO PEOPLE LET’S WORK AND PUSH OUR CONTINENT TO BE DEVELOPED AGAIN!!!!
